Just point out the failed policies……..

Wednesday, March 9th, 2011

If you listen to the political pundits and experts, the safe road for any candidate is to focus on policy.  Keep the message simple:  Obama’s policies have failed and ours will succeed.  Unfortunately, this advice ignores the fact that the American people desire substance and clear leadership.  The core issue is not and cannot be about the obvious fact of failed policy but rather the core beliefs behind those policies.  Why are faulty policies still being promoted?  This election must center upon core beliefs about what America was intended to be and what America will be.  While economic concerns are in focus, you cannot separate social issues from the debate.  Social issue are and have long been the reason for our current economic situation.  I believe the American people are ready to cure the disease and not simply treat the symptoms.

Volunteers

Monday, March 7th, 2011

Thank you to each of you who have volunteered to become part of this campaign.  The word is spreading but we must continue to talk about what is important to each of our families.  President Obama ran a successful election effort largely because he was able to motivate large numbers of individual citizens to become active both in pushing his platform and in generating finances to fund his campaign.  We can do the same.  We are already well motivated, not by fiery rhetoric but rather by heart and soul convictions.  Now we must work toward funding an organization of real Americans who still believe that America can be reclaimed.  Each day our numbers increase.  Keep up the good work.

The American people have been underestimated.

Saturday, March 5th, 2011

There is one key component missing from all of the current budget proposals.  Overlooked by the “wealth of political experience” but well understood by each of us, is the fact that when you are up to your ears in debt you do not pick and choose where those cuts must be made.  The reason is simple, but allow some average citizens to explain it to the experts.  When you pick and choose, someone is a winner and someone is a loser.  One side will be happy and the other will be in revolt.  If we are to seriously address the debt of this nation, we will all share in the sacrifice.  The American people have been grossly underestimated by their own leadership.  We understand all too well that sacrifice will be necessary to remove the burden that will be placed upon our children, but we equally expect  that sacrifice will be borne by an entire nation and not a single group.  15% across the board, every department and every agency.

Do you trust your government?

Saturday, March 5th, 2011

Trust is the confidence in someone or something because of the qualities that we perceive in them.  Why do so many Americans feel like they must constantly look over their shoulder to see what Washington is about to do?  Why do American businesses feel the must guard themselves against the next batch of legislation?  It is no wonder that average citizens distrust Washington.  What qualities do you see in the Federal government that inspire trust?

Destination USA

Clearly local support is the heart and soul of any campaign, but we must begin to set our sights upon broader markets.  We must also carry our message to Iowa and New Hampshire.  Contact your families, friends, or business associates.  Call newspapers, radio and tv stations, churches, and civic organizations.  Comment on the update section of the website.  Let your opinions help convince others.  Your individual efforts may very well make the difference in whether we are heard or ignored.  Our parents often told us that “anything worth having requires a certain amount of effort”.

He doesn’t understand how Washington works.

Friday, March 4th, 2011

The “experts” are quick to point out that Jared Blankenship has no political experience.  I have no first hand knowledge of how the process of government works in Washington D.C.  They are correct on both points and I must thank them for their unwitting endorsement.  Neither I nor the average American citizen cares how Washington works or what the conventional process of government may be.  We are done with “normal” government at work.  We want Constitutional government at work.  I hope those individuals will continue to shed light upon my “lack of political experience”, for that is my greatest asset.  Think outside the box and keep spreading the word.  “A little leaven leaveneth the whole”.

Moving Forward

Friday, March 4th, 2011

Thank you to all who took the time to be a part of the beginning of this campaign.  160 people in attendance may not sound like much to some, but remember what has been accomplished in history by the commitment and belief of a few.  We must continue to spread the message to everyone we know.  Do not be concerned with those who say we have no chance or finances.  I am not.  I still believe in the power of motivated individuals who from the depth of their soul believe in the cause.  A free nation was built upon this very principle.  I ask you to continue to send e-mails and communicate on social media.  At this stage, it will be our efforts which move us forward with growing numbers.  Thank you for your support and prayers,

Jared Blankenship

Public Announcement of Presidential Candidacy

Tuesday, March 1st, 2011

Jared Blankenship will be publicly announcing his republican candidacy for President of the United States this Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 12:00 noon in front of the Deaf Smith County Court House in Hereford, Texas.  We will officially take this campaign to the American voter at a rally to Reclaim America.  I personally invite anyone, regardless of party affiliation, who has lost confidence in their government to attend this rally.  One thing is certain:  if we continue to do the same thing we always have, we will continue to get the same results.  This is not the beginning of a career for another politician but rather the continuation of a movement of average taxpayers and voters to reclaim their voice in the future of this nation.  Bring a friend, take a stand, and be heard in Washington.  Join me as we stand together as real Americans to Reclaim America.  See you there, Jared Blankenship.
